This email comes in from Cynthia, and she is hoping to get opinions from ALL wedding vendors... especially if anyone owns or manages a wedding / event venue / space / function room / hall.

What ideas you wedding vendors have, and what do other wedding / event venues do to generate revenue in the typical off-season for weddings, and slower times? If you have a wedding venue, what do you do with your wedding / event space during slower times? If you are a wedding vendor, what ideas do you have to offer Cynthia for what she could consider doing to generate revenue during times with no weddings? Here is her question and info below.....

What now...?  After the bridal season a lot of venues are in this what to do space.  This is the open time for your venue to host your own events and a good time to find the gaps in your community and see if it can be filled by your venue.  Hosting your own event can be scary and maybe not a huge money maker the first few times, but keep at it with all your heart and watch it grow.  Keeping a good budget so your not in the red and making sure each event is better than the last, makes this a win win.  This is better than making nothing during this down time.
