Info On Sharing Your Photos

As a wedding vendor here on Tying The Knott you can share your wedding related photos in our community photo gallery. Once uploaded, your photos will be visible on your profile and the gallery.

You can view the wedding gallery HEREor by clicking on the link in the wedding vendors drop-down menu at the top of every page. The photos in our gallery have been shared by our members, including other wedding vendors, brides and grooms. The photos uploaded by brides and grooms are mostly engagement photos, wedding photos, and even some photos of things that inspire them to plan their wedding. Photos uploaded by wedding vendors are promotional and general wedding photos.

Instructions For Sharing Photos

It's a quick and simple process to upload and share wedding photos here on Tying The Knott. However there are some things that you should know so that it's easy for your photos to be found, both here on our website, but also so your photos can be found in the results on search engines.

Step One:  When you're ready to upload and share any wedding related photos, just go to our simple photo upload tool HEREor by clicking on the link titled "Share Photos" which you will find in the community drop-down menu at the top of every page.

Step Two:  You can choose to upload photos either directly from your computer, or you can upload photos from your Flickr account. If you're not currently using Flickr for photo storage and sharing, you can Signup Hereand use the option at the bottom of our upload page to share photos from your Flickr. However, it's easier to upload photos direct from your computer if you're not already on Flickr.

Step Three:When your photo is uploaded fill in a title, description, and tags for your photos. This is the most important step because not only will it make it easy for members to find your photos when they search keywords here on Tying The Knott, but since we have a highly crawled website, your photos will be visible in search engine results whenever people search keywords that you use here.

By default, your photos will have a title filled in from the name you used to save it to your computer. This is all the more reason that you should change the title after you upload it here on our site, since more than likely nobody will be searching for your file name. If you're just uploading photos of your logo, it's okay to just put your company name or anything you want as the title, description and tags / keywords, however if you're uploading photos that you want brides, grooms and other members to find during searches, you should be as descriptive as possible.

Step Four: Be sure to include a link to your website, or your profile page here on Tying The Knott. Uploading and sharing your wedding photos here on our site is great, but if you want to gain more business, let people know where they can find you at the end of your description in the photos that you share. Your description should always describe what each photo is, but it should also tell people where they can find out more about you, your products, services, or your wedding business.

Helpful Tips:  When you fill in your tags / keywords for your photos, try to use different keywords in each photo you share. All of your photos should have wedding and/or weddings as a keyword since this will be the most searched word. Separate your keywords by comma, and if you are using a phrase for a keyword you should put it in quotations. For example, if you want wedding cake as your keyword phrase then you should type it in as "wedding cake" as this will narrow down searches to specifically match your keyword tags that you use on your wedding photos.
