HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA -- Be careful not to say that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage was a sham, because the newest reality show in the spot light is Kardashian Takes On The Media! Kim Kardashian has hired prominent attorney, Marty Singer, and has filed a lawsuit against her ex-publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, after she says his comments about her marriage being a sham has stolen 15 minutes of fame away from her... oh, and that the marriage sham comments hurt her ego... oops, we meant reputation.
Publicist Jonathan Jaxson has been on a media blitz telling the world that the wedding and marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was a complete sham and publicity stunt. Jaxson says that Kim Kardashian was only in it for the money and publicity, and he knows this because she has hired him to stage similar publicity stunts surrounding marriage to get people talking.
"It was obvious that it was staged," Jonathan Jaxson recently said about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries 'sham' wedding on Good Day L.A. "There were contracts already in place for E! to film the wedding. Everything was written down, and completely scripted."
Jonathan Jaxson says he worked for Kim Kardashian from 2007 to 2009, but Kardashian says they only worked together on one project - a blog - years ago, and that Jaxson is now in violation of a signed confidentiality agreement. "To the best of my knowledge, I have never signed an agreement dealing with confidentiality with Kim Kardashian. I have an agreement in my possession that does not have either parties signature on it," said Jonathan Jaxson.
This is not the first time Jaxson has spoken out against the reality star. In an interview on the Elvis Duran Morning Show, Jonathan Jaxson said Kim Kardashian had doubts about marrying Kris Humphries before ever stepping foot down the aisle. "She knew weeks before getting married she didn't want to do it," he said. "She's never gotten over her ex Reggie Bush."
Publicity stunts are nothing new for Kim Kardashian, who has staged her fair share of made-for-TV moments, Jaxson claimed. In 2007, the star allegedly tipped off the paparazzi as she was walking out of a Beverly Hills jewelry store to make it look like Bush had proposed. "She was going to go shopping with her grandmother and her mom and we said, 'Let's do something to get more press for you,'" Jaxson told Duran. "She said, 'Perfect. Let me go to a ring store and walk out as if Reggie Bush were proposing to me."
While many people have questioned the legitimacy of Kim Kardashian's highly publicized wedding and marriage to Kris Humphries, the question now is how this former publicist knows enough to say that the wedding "was obviously staged" when the Kardashian family says they hardly even remembered the guy. Jonathan Jaxson says that many of his recent statements have been based on conversations with friends he and Kim Kardashian have in common.
Conveniently, Jonathan Jaxson is currently promoting a book he authored during the same time he is on a media blitz saying that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wedding and marriage was a sham and publicity stunt, so could Jaxson possibly be using the spotlight on Kardashian's marriage for selfish motives, such as promoting his new book? Most likely, but that doesn't mean that the statements he has made are nothing short of the truth, which many people already believe.
As for the lawsuit that Kim Kardashian has filed against Jonathan Jaxson, she is asking for at least $200,000 in damages and her lawyer, Marty Singer says "Everything that Jaxson said is false and nonsense. This guy is in it to promote himself for his 15 minutes of fame."
We know a thing or two about the law here at TyingTheKnott.com and if Jonathan Jaxson is right, and there is no confidentiality agreement signed, Kim Kardashian would have no basis for a lawsuit under breach of contract. However, this does not mean that Kardashian cannot sue Jackson for Libel, defamation of character, especially since Jaxson has already said himself that most of his statements have come from mutual friends of he and Kim, which could only be a self admission that he has no personal knowledge, or proof, to publicly say that the wedding and marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was a sham.
We would like to know what you think. Do you think that the wedding and marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was a sham? Do you think that Kim Kardashian stands to make just as much money as she made for her wedding on her highly publicized divorce? Do you think that Kim is entitled to winning this lawsuit against her ex-publicist Jonathan Jaxson? Do you think the ex-publicist is trying to get his 15 minutes of fame to promote his book? Share your comments below, we would love to hear what you think.
