HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA  --  Before this year of high profile celebrity weddings came to an end, Britney Spears is saying "I'm getting married one more time!' Well, she may not have said it exactly that way, but Britney did announce that her engagement to 40-year-old Jason Trawick.

Britney Spears hinted about Jason Trawick proposing yesterday on Twitter, saying "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo."

The Hollywood agent, Jason Trawick, asked for Britney Spears hand in marriage in Los Angeles yesterday on his 40th birthday. He did right by her father, and sister Jamie Spears, by asking for their blessing to marry Britney. Jason Trawick is said to have presented Britney Spears with a Neil Lane engagement ring, featuring a three carat round diamond with pave diamonds on the band.

Maybe the third time's a charm for Britney Spears. The 30-year-old pop star already has a history of two failed marriages. First, Britney married her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, in a surprise wedding ceremony in 2004. The marriage was annulled just 55 hours after the shocking Vegas wedding. Later that year came her highly publicized wedding to Kevin Federline, which lasted much longer than her first marriage, but they divorced after just two years.

Britney Spears has clearly learned from her impulsive past, and a source close to Spears tells TyingTheKnott.com that a Britney-Jason wedding "is not happening anytime soon."  — Not to mention, it might take a little more time to sort out the legal complications inherent in the 30-year-old still remaining under conservatorship. However, that little detail has been described as "an issue" rather than any serious impediment or threat to their marriage.

Britney first started dating Jason in early 2009 following her tumultuous relationship with paparazzo Adnan Ghalib. Spears said she 'made the first move' on Trawick, who was her then her agent. He stepped down from that role in May this year.

Whether or not the celebrity couple will have a high profile wedding, or an intimate ceremony is yet to be determined. Britney Spears and Jason Trawick will carefully plan out their wedding day, and they will put a pre-nuptial agreement into effect before the wedding, according to sources.
