CALGARY, CANADA  --  Tis the season for marriage proposals, and this holiday season we wanted to share a heartwarming surprise marriage proposal with you - from 30,000 feet in the air, this couple is the newest members of the mile high marriage proposal club.

A Calgary man has set the standards of marriage proposals very high - 30,000 feet to be exact. Scott Wetton warmed the hearts of many women, but stole the heart of his new fiance, Jacqueline Poushay in mid-air during a flight between Calgary and Cape Breton, Canada.

Last week, with an engagement ring in his pocket and fingers crossed, Scott Wetton stood up on an Air Canada flight and started speaking into the in-flight intercom.

“I know you don’t like surprises, but I wanted this to be special,” said Scott Wetton, as the confused plane-load of passengers listened, "You’re the love of my life, and I wanted this to be as special as possible, and I guess there’s just one more question to ask.”

Overcome with cabin pressure, Scott Wetton walked to the front of the plane, and as the cabin erupted in applause he dropped to one knee and proposed to Jacqueline Poushay.

How did he set everything up? With a bit of creativity, planning and the help of the Air Canada flight crew, of course. Scott Wetton spelled out his step-by-step process to arrange his mile high marriage proposal in the video above. He even got one of the flight attendants to document the mid-air proposal with his video camera.

Jacqueline Poushay will forever cherish the moment she agreed to marry Scott Wetton, as is the rest of the world, since the video is quickly becoming a hit on YouTube.
